Bubba finds water, makes improbable par save from 56 feet at 3M

Highlights
In the first round of the 2021 3M Open, Bubba Watson started the par-5 18th hole in a tough spot after hitting his approach shot into the water. However, Watson was able to miraculously recover by hitting his fourth shot onto the green, which was followed up with an improbable 56-foot made putt to save par.

The 3M Open returns to the PGA TOUR for a third year, as Michael Thompson hopes to defend his 2020 title. Reigning FedExCup champion, Dustin Johnson, will head to Minnesota looking for his first victory on TOUR since his win at The Masters in November 2020. The South Carolinian is joined by a strong field of former major champions, including Bubba Watson, Sergio Garcia, Patrick Reed and Lucas Glover. 22-year-old Matthew Wolff also returns to TPC Twin Cities, looking to repeat his victory at the maiden event in 2019. While the victory remains Wolff’s only win on the PGA TOUR, he has since notched runner-up finishes in both the 2020 U.S. Open and Shriners Hospitals for Children Open.
