Los Angeles is known for its stars, and the PGA Tour’s stars have come out to play this week in La-La Land at the Genesis Invitational.

Seven of the top 10 players in the World Ranking are teeing it up at famed Riviera Country Club in the 120-player field and 30 of the top 50, including top-ranked Dustin Johnson, winner of the event in 2017. Defending champion Adam Scott is back, riding a solid wave of play considering he has yet to miss a cut in the 2020-21 tour season.

Other past champions in the field are J.B. Holmes, James Hahn, Charles Howell III and Bubba Watson, a two-time winner at Riviera.

The tournament benefits the Tiger Woods foundation, TGR Foundation, with Tiger serving as the host of the event. He won’e be playing, however, as he continues to recover from recent back surgery.

As an elevated event on the PGA Tour calendar, the winner will receive 550 FedEx Cup points, up from the usual 500, and earn $1.674 million share of the $9.3 million purse.
