Ahead of the Masters, Nike is set to release a limited edition collection of the brand’s most popular golf shoes including the Nike Air Zoom Infitiny Tour, Roshe G Tour, Air Max 97G, Air Zoom Victory Tour and Jordan V Low G Golf Shoes. The most unique of the Nike NRG drops this year, the golf shoes feature a corduroy fabric and three styles including a throwback kiltie fringe over the tongue. Following a similar trend to include a secret message on the outsole of the company’s special edition shoes, the bottom of each shoe in this line includes the message “Rather Lucky Than Good.”

The “Rather Lucky Than Good” footwear pack will be available Nov. 9 to anyone with a Nike Membership, which is free to sign up for on the Nike website. The general public will have access to purchase all styles except the Air Zoom Infinity Tours starting Nov. 11. The Infinity Tours will only be available for Nike Members.
Nike Air Zoom Victory Tour NRG ($200)
According to Nike, the ridges on the corduroy fabric was inspired by the ups and downs that the game of golf brings. The bold kiltie—a piece of leather covering the laces of a shoe—suits the Air Zoom Victory Tour the best in this collection. The upscale shoe is most similar to the dress shoes that originally featured the extended tongue design.
Nike Roshe G Tour NRG ($130)
The Roshe G Tour NRG also features the vintage kiltie look in a more subtle form— matching rather than contrasting the body color of the shoe. The Roshe Tour features removable spikes for a versatile wear and the corduroy remix gives this athletic shoe a more refined look and feel.
Nike Air Max 97 G NRG ($190)
For those not all-in on the lace covers but curious about the trend, the Nike Air Max 97 G offers a removable kiltie. When you remove the kiltie the words “Good Luck” are revealed on the reverse side of the fabric as an extra fun detail. The colorful corduroy element suits the wavy design of the Air Max 97 G for an ultra stylish almost 1970s-inspired look.
Jordan 5 Low G ($220)
Similar to previous Nike NRG golf shoe drops, the Jordan 5 Low G golf shoe version has its own unique styling with subtler details tying it back to the theme of the larger collection. The shoe still features hits of corduroy, “Lucky Rather Than Good” messaging on the outsole and a touch of orange at the sockliner, but stays true to Jordans in its simpler white colorway. In lieu of the traditional Jordan lace lock Nike incorporated a ball marker with the Jordan logo as an extra golf-ready touch.
