The new ‘Purple Grape’ Air Jordan 5 Golf Shoes are finally available (for now)

Best in Golf

It’s not easy to find a pair of Air Jordan golf shoes in stock these days. The basketball-inspired golf shoes were originally released in 2017 and usually sell out shortly after each new drop from the brand. If you’re feeling lucky—or have an atypical shoe size—you can try to get your hands on the just launched black, purple and teal Air Jordan V Low Golf Shoes ($220) while a few are still available.

The translucent outsole is the marquee design element of the Air Jordan V Low. Inspired by the OG Jordan sneakers released the 1990s, the “Grape” colorway was the only version not to be worn by Michael Jordan in an NBA game. MJ can be seen wearing the purples on a box of Wheaties circa 1991.

Similar to the original Jordan 5, the midsole features shark tooth-like shapes, geometric lace locks and a visible Air-Sole unit that adds comfort and energy return. The synthetic leather golf shoe has removable spikes on the outsole for a versatile wear and a Jumpman logos throughout the design for an unmistakable Jordan touch.

The Air Jordan V Low Golf Shoe is available now in limited sizes for $220 on the Nike website. Expect to see it on sneaker resale boards with a much higher price tag in the near future.
