Bunket shots or play shots need to have the correct grip, weight distribution needs to be correct and the club head must be dig and release, the golf club needs to work into the sand! Bunker lessons, bunker tips, bunker shots are all words that are raised a lot! But for me golfers often fear this shot, and i’m not sure why!
We should play the ball farther forward in your stance and tilt the shaft away from the target. The club face should be square to close, this will allow the club to dig into the stand, narrower stance, weight to left hand side, grip pressure feels as though you are just letting go of the club onto the back of the ball. This is a higher a higher, softer shot. Control the distance by making a shorter follow-through. Don’t quit on it before impact..
