In the MCU timeline, this installment is set prior to “Avengers: Endgame,” when we witnessed the Black Widow’s untimely death. Therefore, there’s reason to believe this film will reveal some new revelations about Natasha Romanoff’s past. The highly-anticipated feature will mark Scarlet Johansson’s first standalone feature as Black Widow, AKA Natasha Romanoff. In addition to Johansson, “Black Widow” will star Rachel Weisz as Melina Vostokoff, AKA the Iron Maiden; David Harbour (“Stranger Things”) as Alexei Shostakov, AKA the Red Guardian; and Florence Pugh (“Midsommar”) as Yelena Belova, the sister figure to Natasha Romanoff.
