This week, the European Tour heads to Madrid for the Acciona Open de España. World No.1 Jon Rahm goes into the event, looking for his third Spanish Open title in a row, having triumphed at the tournament in 2018 and 2019, before COVID-19 forced its postponement in 2020. It will be the Spaniard’s first showing, since the Ryder Cup, in which he ended with a very respectable score of 3-1-1, despite a disappointing loss for Team Europe. Rahm’s fellow countryman Rafa Cabrera-Bello will be hoping to go one better than he did in 2019 when he finished in second place, five shots adrift of the lead. 2021 Abrdn Scottish Open winner Min Woo Lee, and two-time Made In Denmark winner Bernd Wiesberger also make up the field hoping to taste victory at Club de Campo Villa de Madrid.
