Here’s the prize money payout for each golfer at the 2020 Northern Trust

News

Dustin Johnson is the most successful tour pro in FedEx Cup history never to have won the FedEx Cup. It’s not quite the same backhanded compliment as the “best player to have never won a major,” but it comes with a bit of ignominy, something Johnson certainly wouldn’t mind erasing over the course of the next few weeks.

In 11 years competing in the PGA Tour’s postseason, DJ has ended up in the top 30 of the final FedEx Cup points standings all 11 times, finishing in the top 10 on seven occasions. His closest call was a runner-up showing to Rory McIlroy in 2016, while also finishing fourth in 2011, 2017 and 2018.

Meanwhile, no one has earned more prize money in FedEx Cup playoff events than Johnson. In 39 tournament starts entering this week’s Northern Trust, he’s made more than $11.7 million thanks to four wins (second only to Rory McIlroy), 10 top-five finishes (tied for the most with four others) and 18 top 10s (tied for the most with Adam Scott).

Suffice it to say, with a five-stroke lead entering the final round at TPC Boston, he’s in great shape to increase his totals in all those categories.

The overall prize money payout this week is $9.5 million with the winning earning $1.71 million. Here’s the prize money payout for each golfer who made the cut this week. Check back after the finish on Sunday and we’ll update the list with individual golfers and how much each earned.
