The Nike Sportswear Icon Clash Colorblock Drawstring Skirt ($37) was originally inspired by Japanese DIY fashion trends mixed with tennis skirt designs. The sporty drawstring skirt has two side seam pockets atop the color blocked panels. The skirt is unlined and does not have built-in shorts, so you’ll have to provide your own—but the unique streetwear golf skirt look is worth it.
A reversible bomber jacket is the ultimate golf apparel piece for women. This Blanc Noir Jacket ( $100) is black-and-white houndstooth on one side and quilted black on the other. The ribbed trim polishes the look and thumb holes add extra warmth when needed. It’s a match-everything jacket that will work across seasons.
Sustainable fashion is a movement to watch this year. Consumers are mindful of where their apparel comes from and who is involved in the manufacturing process. This Zella Liana Long Sleeve top ($30) is made from 94-percent recycled polyester in a factory involved with the HERproject program which works for gender equality in the workplace. It’s also ultra-soft, is sweat-wicking and made with temperature regulating materials. Double check your course’s dress code regarding collars but this top will work as a base layer, too.
A golf vest is a great way for women to stay warm and the layered look is very on-trend. This The North Face ThermoBall Eco Vest ($105) is almost $50 less than the normal price ($149). Available in black or green, it has an ultra-subtle camo print that adds texture to the quilted design. It’s packable to fit in the pocket of your golf bag, is lined, insulated and has a DWR water-repellent finish to keep things warm and dry on the golf course.
Sweaty Betty is know for making unique and fashionable workout attire you’ll want to wear between workouts, too. The soft pink Sweaty Betty Fast Track Jacket ($86) has a little extra length in the back to add coverage and a quick-dry jersey underlayer that’s ready for all-weather golf.
Who says the faux fur trend isn’t ready for golf? This ALO Streetside Half Zip Faux Fur Hoodie ($80) is ultra cozy, has a huge kangaroo pocket and a cotton lining for temperature regulation. It may not look like your traditional women’s golf quarter-zip, but that’s the point.
The leggings-on-the-golf-course debate is age-old, but with the right pair of leggings, no one will even know you’re not wearing a traditional pair of slacks. The SPANX Ponte Ankle Leggings ($65) have a thicker fabrication for an upscale look and a high-waisted shaping panel that’s ultra-flattering.
This Nike Element Dri-FIT Running T-Shirt ($37) not only has thumb holes, but is made with a watch window and a side pocket for the women’s workout top trifecta. The long-sleeve shirt is made for running, but with a clean crew neck collar, slightly extra length at the back hem and moisture-wicking technology, would make a great golf top.
Brighten things up on drizzly days with a bold red rain jacket, like the Bernardo Hooded Rain Jacket ($52). The ultra-lightweight construction makes for a comfortable wear with windproof and water-resistant properties to keep things dry. The tech shell is great for chance-of-rain kinds of days or can be layered over thermal pieces for a cold weather exterior.
For a more affordable option, the Beyond Yoga Never Been Hoodie($40) will do the trick. It’s made with an extra-light cotton blend and a roomy construction. It’s slightly cropped, so wear this over your favorite structured golf dress or a high-waisted bottom.
A Patagonia jacket is always a great investment purchase. These pieces have extra-long lifespans and are known for providing superior warmth. The Patagonia Better Sweater Quarter Zip Performance Jacket ($84) is a lightweight fleece made with 100 percent recycled polyester. There’s a zip pocket at the sleeve and a zip closure that adds additional protection from the elements.
This tri-blend leopard print jacket from J.Crew ($99) is the ultimate women’s statement piece we’d love to see on the golf course. It’s got a golf-appropriate blade collar, a super-soft sweater feel and is pulled together with black banded cuffs and hem. It’s more a cardigan than a jacket, but on a dry day this zip-up will turn heads paired with an all-black outfit.
We all have our favorite pair of black leggings in the closet, so why not try out a new color? These Nike One Lux 7/8 Tights ($36) are discounted 60-percent (normally $90) and come in a unique blue or maroon colorway—also available in black.
You may be hyper-focused on sun protection during the summer months, but it’s important stay vigilant into fall golf. Sun damage is possible all year long, so stock up on a quality sunscreen, apply before you go to the course and reapply every few holes. The Supergoop! Play Antioxidant Body Mist SPF 50 Sunscreen ($42) is a fan-favorite with female golfers because it has a non-aersol spray, a reef-safe formula and a non-greasy, lightweight feel.
A travel-ready deodorant is a great item to throw into your bag so you can freshen up anytime you need. This Kopari Coconut Deodorant Set ($32) is aluminum-free and goes on clear. The set of three includes the original formula, a scented version and one extra-strength with CBD added in.
